Eleventh time in the Chair for John Vowles

At their recent installation the Yatton Lodge of Hospitality installed John Vowles as their Master for the 11th time, John saying he was coerced this time! John has been in the Chair of this Lodge as well as a Mark and Royal Arch Lodges and Chapters, making it the 11 times in total. Steve Jepps installed John in fine form saying he was glad to hand over the reigns to John, as he had been Master of the Lodge for four years, saying it was about time he stepped down.

The Lodge certainly lived up to its name, making everyone feel very welcome, including the Provincial Junior Warden, Ian Evans and his DC on the night Andy Broad. It was an excellent evening in good company, conducted with a smile and humour.

The evening was rounded off with a sumptuous seven course meal celebrating Burns night, including Cullen Skink, Haggis, Rare Sirloin of Beef and of course Shortbread with the coffee.

The organ was played as wonderfully as ever by the kilt wearing “Hamish Mac Wesley” saying the tartan was in fact Masonic Tartan, as he wasn’t actually Scottish!
