Vern Is Driving The Lodge Of St George 3158

With a very large attendance in the Taunton Masonic Hall Temple watching on, W Bro Vern Whereat was recently installed into the Chair of King Solomon at The Lodge of St George by Neil Hansley LGR, with the Somerset Provincial Junior Grand Warden Robert Hughes in attendance, representing the Provincial Grand Master. Robert was ably supported by Tim Brookes, PrAGDC. After an excellent installation meeting the 73 brothers in attendance squeezed into the dining room for a magnificent 4 course Festive Board, with 45 guests adding to the considerable charity collection (and bar takings)! Peter Russell has now taken the office of Senior Warden, with Brett Rogers becoming the Junior Warden.

As many Taunton regulars will know, Vern is an outstanding local driving instructor for a living, so rather aptly he now gets to drive the Lodge of St George for the busy forthcoming Lodge season! Best wishes for a successful year in the Chair Vern!
