SPGSL entertain the Ladies and raise over £740 for SANDS Charity
At their recent Ladies weekend, held on the 14 – 16th June at the Park Hotel Barnstaple, the Somerset Provincial Grand Stewards Lodge entertained the Ladies in Style.
A fabulous gala night on the Saturday was enjoyed by over 70 guests in a lovely atmosphere, with excellent food and great company – as would be expected from Stewards!
The WM Darren Herbert and his good lady gave an excellent and heartfelt speech, saying the money that would usual be used to pay for gifts for the Ladies, would be donated to his choses Charity the Stillbirth and Neonatal Death Charity – SANDS. Which has an important place in their heart as they sadly lost a child over 20 years ago.
Also providing a well received and humorous speech was the SW Darren Griffin as he will be taking the chair of SPGSL next.
The “bumper” number of raffle prizes were called out by of Ian Evans in his unique style, a great evening was had by all with members dancing the night away.
